Westwood North WSC's operations team has successfully developed the Lead Service Line Inventory, which details every service line in our distribution system, including both utility-owned and customer-owned lines. The records used to review the system inventory were, distribution maps, meter connection reports, and operational records. Online and aerial research was also conducted to validate historical information.
Key findings include:
- No Lead Service Lines (LSLs), Galvanized Requiring Replacement (GRRs), or lines with unknown lead status were identified.
- Historical records show that most of our system was constructed after the Texas lead ban of 1988. Remaining pre-1989 sites were investigated for efficiency.
- Thirty-four sites were examined due to uncertainty, with only one site identified as having a non-PVC line (Poly in / Copper out).
